James Hopkins, DDS
Dr. Hopkins has been in practice since 1973. He graduated from Medical College of Virginia in 1973 and joined our practice in August 2007 and we are very excited to have him. Dr. Hopkins is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the Potomac Dentistry Study Club. Dr. Hopkins continues to educate himself on the newest dental techniques. He is certified in Invisalign® and practices general and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Hopkins was voted among America's top 100 dentists in US of consumers research Council of American in 2005, 2006, and 2007.
Dr. Hopkins has been married to his lovely wife, Gale, since 1969 and has two grown sons, Clayton and Jason. He also has two little grandchildren, Hunter and Faith, whom he adores very much.. In his spare time, Dr. Hopkins likes outdoor spoors including hunting, golf, and shooting sports.
John Christopher Durr, DDS
Dr. John Christopher Durr attended the University of Virginia where he studied Psychology, and continued on to the School of Dentistry at Virginia Commonwealth University where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. He completed two years of residency training at the Eastman Dental Center in Rochester, NY, where he studied under the brightest, most innovative minds in the dental field. Dr. Durr served as a lecturer and clinical instructor at the University of Washington in Seattle, Georgetown University, and Virginia Commonwealth University. In 1986, he also studied Law at George Mason University and passed the Virginia Bar in 1986.
Through his affiliations with the Northern Virginia Dental Society, the Virginia Dental Association, and the American Dental Association, Dr. Durr continues his education to stay at the forefront of dental technology.
Voted as a Top Dentist in 2010 by Virginia Living Magazine, Dr. Durr has also been awarded the American Jurisprudence Award in Professional Responsibility from George Mason University. Dr. Durr has been a past lecturer and instructor at Georgetown University and Virginia Commonwealth University, and is a current member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Society, the Northern Virginia Implant Society, and the American Dental Society of Anesthesia.
Dr. Durr lived in many places before moving to Shouse Village, including a three-year stint in the Netherlands. He and his wife, Susan, who recently retired from the intelligence community, have three children under the age of 16.
A man of many personal interests, Dr. Durr belongs to several Old Boy Rugby sides and works with the Potomac Society of Rugby Referees. He is working toward his brown belt in Shotokan Karate and a black belt in Iaido, has completed nine Marine Corps marathons, plays the piano, travels extensively with his family, and collects Spanish American Colonial coins.
Jason Lam, DDS
Dr. Lam was born and raised in Northern Virginia and couldn’t be happier to be back in the area. Dr. Lam went to Virginia Tech for his undergraduate degree and then went on to Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry for his dental degree.
Dr. Lam believes in giving his patients the same care and attention that he would to anyone in his family. He does his best to go above and beyond to make patients feel comfortable in the dental chair. Dr. Lam is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, the Northern Virginia Dental Society, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
During his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife, traveling, trying new foods, and playing with his puppy.
Christopher Dail, DDS
Dr. Dail has been in practice serving the dental needs of Northern Virginia residents for 28 years. He is a 1988 graduate of Georgetown University School of Dentistry. Dr. Dail has spent his entire professional career in general family practice with advanced training in all phases of dentistry. Dr. Dail practices with a special sensitivity to the needs of fearful/phobic patients, geriatric patients and special needs patients. He is certified in Invisalign® and practices general and cosmetic dentistry.
Dr. Dail is passionate about putting his patients' oral health as a top priority with his caring, quality dentistry. He continues to educate himself and staff to provide his patients with the most comprehensive, personalized dental care with the latest techniques in dentistry.
A lifetime resident of Northern Virginia, Dr. Dail currently resides in Clifton with his wife, Beth, 17 year old son, Noah and black pug, Mallory. His two older daughters, Gabrielle and Haley also work in the dental field. Aside from spending time with family, Dr. Dail enjoys restoring old cars and building/maintaining his extensive guitar collection for his son to play.
